Talking about lights of a slightly different kind to usual – The Guildford town Christmas lights are being switched on tonight. Here’s a full list of what’s going on: Thursday 21st November 2013 There’s something magical happening this Christmas in Guildford for all the family to enjoy. All day – Market stalls on High Street From 12pm – Come and visit the reindeer outside Holy Trinity The Christmas Grotto opens in The Friary Centre – – upstairs near Playworld Visit the Newfoundland dogs outside Debenhams From 1pm – Jugglers & face painting in The Friary Centre 2.30pm-3pm – Santa visits his reindeer outside Holy Trinity From 3pm – Dinosaurs from Dinosaur zoo in The Friary centre 3pm-3.30pm – Peppa Pig visits the reindeer outside Holy Trinity 3.30pm-4pm – Santa visits his reindeer outside Holy Trinity 4pm-4.30pm – Peppa Pig visits the reindeer outside Holy Trinity 5pm – Mascot Parade from White Lion Walk on the High Street 6pm – Lights switch on build up from Guildhall balcony by 96.4 Eagle Radio’s Peter Gordon, with appearances from Yvonne Arnaud’s Christmas panto stars – Bonnie Langford and the cast of Cinderella & Santa’s Singing Elves from G Live and much more! 7pm – The big event – The Christmas lights get switched on from the balcony! 7pm – Firework display by White Lion Walk Throughout the day look out for pop up performances across the town by local groups Grab your Little Book of Offers from a Bluecap, the Tourist Information Centre or when visiting the reindeer.
