Bathroom downlights are one of the most popular and effective ceiling lighting solutions for bathrooms, providing clean, even illumination that works beautifully in both contemporary and traditional bathroom designs. Recessed neatly into the ceiling, bathroom downlights deliver a sleek, uncluttered look while offering excellent light coverage across the entire room — making them ideal for larger bathrooms where a single ceiling light may not provide sufficient illumination.

As with all bathroom lighting, it is essential to choose downlights with the correct IP (Ingress Protection) rating for the zone in which they will be installed. All of our bathroom downlights carry the appropriate IP ratings for safe use in wet environments. Here’s a quick guide to bathroom zones:

Zone 0 — Inside the bath or shower. Must be low voltage (max 12v) with a minimum rating of IP67.
Zone 1 — Above the bath or shower up to a height of 2.25m. Minimum IP44 required.
Zone 2 — The area 60cm beyond the edge of the bath or shower, up to 2.25m high. Minimum IP44 required.

We always recommend consulting a qualified electrician for installation, and ensuring your bathroom lighting circuit is protected by an RCD.
