When choosing a bathroom ceiling light, it’s essential to select the right IP (Ingress Protection) rating for the zone in which the light will be installed. Here’s a quick guide to bathroom zones:

Zone 0 — Inside the bath or shower. Must be low voltage (max 12v) with a minimum rating of IP67.
Zone 1 — Above the bath or shower up to a height of 2.25m. Minimum IP44 required.
Zone 2 — The area 60cm beyond the edge of the bath or shower, up to 2.25m high. Minimum IP44 required.
