At The Lighting Centre Guildford, all of our bathroom wall lights carry the appropriate IP (Ingress Protection) rating required for safe use in wet environments. It’s essential to choose the correct IP rating for the zone in which your light will be installed. Here’s a quick guide:

Zone 0 — Inside the bath or shower. Must be low voltage (max 12v) with a minimum rating of IP67.
Zone 1 — Above the bath or shower up to a height of 2.25m. Minimum IP44 required.
Zone 2 — The area 60cm beyond the edge of the bath or shower, up to 2.25m high. Minimum IP44 required.

We always recommend consulting a qualified electrician for installation, and ensuring your bathroom lighting circuit is protected by an RCD.
